Coronavirus: Italy reports 49 deaths in 24 Hours

The death toll in Italy for the coronavirus has risen to 197 after the largest daily increase in fatalities to date.

According to officials, some 49 people died in 24 hours, while more than 4,500 cases have been reported throughout Italy.

Italy has also reported the most deaths outside of China.

The World Health Organization reports that nearly 100,000 people globally have contracted the coronavirus and the death toll is over 3,000.
